On September 27, 2009 Gilles Poulin set out to run the Vermont Ultra-marathon to help raise funds for the Maasai Women's Education Center.  With a goal of raising $16,000 for the purchase of the land upon which the new school will sit Gilles finished the marathon despite horrid weather conditions in 11hrs 25min.  With over $10,000 raised thus far we want to extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation to Gilles for his support and dedication to the cause.  To read more about Gilles initiative please click here.  Congratulations Gilles and THANK YOU!

 

ROTH would like to thank all of the Run for ROTH runners who took part in 5km, 10km, and full marathon races in both Quebec City and Montreal this autumn.  Thanks to them and their generous sponsors ROTH raised $16,169.00 towards the construction of the Maasai Women's Education Center.   This money will go a long way to securing the room and board, education, and health care of over 100 Maasai girls.  Thank you to all who participated and donated for another successful marathon fundraiser!

On September 14th, 2008, a group of courageous runners took on various races at the Marathon Oasis de Montreal and raised over $17,000 for the current construction of the Hijos de Manana Day Care Center in the Hijos de Luya slum north of Lima, Peru.

On August 24th, 2008 a raffle was held in Rathcoole, County Dublin to raise funds and awareness for the upcoming construction of the Hijos de Manana Day Care Center in Lima, Peru.  Over 150 people attended the event and lucky winners walked away with incredible prizes including a trip to Puerto Rico, Canary Islands, an airplane lesson, and a ten day stay in a villa in Spain.  

Fashion.Funk.Philanthropy was held on August 20th, 2008 at The Gladstone Hotel in Toronto. Guests (over 90 in attendance), enjoyed an evening of fashion, food and music.

 

On June 4, 2008 a group of talented Australian artists donated their oeuvres for an art exhibition benefiting the "Hijos de Manana" daycare center.  The event was held in Queensland, Australia and raised $1,500.00 for the upcoming project whose construction is scheduled to commence mid-September.

Reach Out To Humanity thanks you all very much for your presence or your donation during the "One Night One World" fundraiser held at the Montreal Science Centre last November.  Despite the awful weather, we are happy to announce that we hosted over 150 people and raised over $10,000 for the "Hijos de Manana" Daycare Center.  Please visit the Media Gallery for photos of this wonderful evening.  Thank you all for your support and generosity that helped make the evening a great success!
