It is our pleasure to invite you to a jewellery workshop-sale with proceeds going to Reach Out to Humanity (ROTH). ROTH is a volunteer organization that works closely with local partners in low-income countries to meet needs in education, health, water and shelter, and to bring lasting change to these contexts. An original way to support ROTH's mission, Anne-Marie Chagnon brings beautiful creations, handmade in Montreal!

As their final exam in December 2011, students from the graphic design collegiate course offered at the Cégep de Trois-Rivières were asked to partake in a real project: to come up with a new visual identity for ROTH. 20 projects were presented to ROTH with the winning project earning the chance to see their project through in collaboration with Cossette, one of Montreal’s top marketing firms. Vanessa Negreiros has won the challenge for her creative vision and Barbara Jacques, Director of Design Services at Cossette in Montréal has mentored her during the spring 2012 for the design of ROTH new graphic identity.

18 hours and 60 miles of mountain running was not enough. I ran out of time. No pun intended.

Our close friend Gilles Poulin, a firm
believer in ROTH’s mission since the beginning, is currently
preparing to run 100 miles (160.9 km) in less than 30 hours on the
18th and 19th of August. As if this was not difficult enough, the
race is taking place in Leadville, Colorado at more than 3000 meters
of altitude. Running into thin air brings on its own challenges, not
to mention that Gilles will have to face 5000 meters of ascent and
5000 meters descent throughout this grueling circuit.

In 2009, Gilles Poulin ran 50 miles in 11 hours and 25 minutes at the Vermont 50 with the ambitious goal of raising $50 000 for three causes, including the construction of the Maasai Women Secondary School in Tanzania. One year later, after meeting his goal and taking part in a wonderful trip to Tanzania with his family to work with ROTH on the field, Gilles, along with eleven of his friends, decided to repeat the feat, but this time, on a mountain bike.

By Charles-Antoine Vallières
In September of 2009, we signed a lease for a very peculiar home in Vancouver, Canada, knowing that we were going to be its last occupants. We called it the Taj Love-All. The walls quickly became our canvas and throughout the year the house evolved into something magnificently and optimystically wyrd. Many of our friends suggested we have a demolition party during the final week of its existence, but we prefer creativity to wanton destruction and decided to open the house up to the public for a silent auction in effort to raise funds for ROTH's beautiful charity.
