Tanzania Night
Invite your friends to learn more about Tanzania and ROTH with a fundraiser at home. You can show a movie with an African theme (I Dreamed of Africa is a wonderful pick) and prepare Tanzanian recipes (coconut and bean soup, maandazi [Tanzanian donuts], baked bananas). It is possible to find those recipes and many other Tanzanian recipes on the Internet. Tanzanian music can also help set a fun mood during the meal! You can either ask your friends to give a set amount, or ask them to give a donation of their choice.
Swap Party
A Swap Party is a fun, ecological way to get new stuff and raise funds! At a Swap Party, a group of friends get together to swap items, whether it be clothes, books, DVDs, CDs, etc. Just invite a large group of friends over and ask everyone to bring along good quality, clean items that they no longer use. Register each item in exchange for a coupon or a token and let everyone browse through what others have brought. They can then exchange their tokens for new items. You can either ask your friends to give a set amount, or ask them to give a donation of their choice for participation in this activity.
Fundraising with Tupperware
Tupperware now offers a fundraising program! For this fundraiser all you need to do is organize a Tupperware presentation and instead of receiving gifts in the form of Tupperware products, you will receive 40 % of your total sales for the non-profit organization of your choice. A specific catalog has been prepared for this program. For more information, visit Tupperware.ca.
