Week 9: July 30th-3rd August
Throughout week 9 we saw several things happen on and off the site.
With our 30ft placenta pit now dug by the Piave Community, our workers
began pouring the concrete slab to cover the pit.
With our three pipelines leading out of the septic tank all completed,
it was now time for our workers to start pouring the concrete slab to
cover the tank.
Week 9 also saw the start of another ROTH project. A while back we met
a local disabled family in the Piave District. A Mother and her two
young daughters, have all been subjected to frequent abuse. They are in
desperate need of a new home with more security. ROTH members and their
volunteers have been able to start building the Muturi family a new
home, with more security.
In the distance the now covered trenches and septic tank. In the forefront the placenta pit.
