Though it is wonderful to see it all come
together it means the end is near and we'll have to be on our
way. The last week was a rush to finish everything on time for
the opening ceremony on August 24th. Over three hundred people
showed up to the event with people lining up all afternoon for a peek
inside.
None of this would have been possible without the
support and generosity of those who understand what it means to be a
part of humanity. We would specifically like to thank our donors
from Canada, Ireland, England, and the United States. A BIG thank
you to ROTH Volunteers for their hard work and commitment to the
project. Finally, we would like to thank the entire community of
Piave for hosting us and allowing us to become part of their families.

On September 11, 2007 the Piave Maternity Ward and Couseling Center hosted it's first delivery. Margaret is the first of what we hope will be many babies safely delivered in the Piave Maternity Ward.
