The projects evolution becomes more palpable with each passing day. The workers and volunteers have finished erecting the walls for the classroom and the dormitory buildings. Now, they are busy preparing the ring beams, which sit on top of the walls, before starting on the roof and digging the septic tank. Foundations are also being dug for the construction of the water tower and the plumber is well underway with installing the pipes in the floors and the bathrooms.

Building a school in a developing country is quite the feat, one made more difficult when fundraising must be done alongside construction. This week and the following weeks will be crucial for the success of the Maasai Women Secondary School. ROTH volunteers both here and abroad are working non-stop trying to secure funds and searching for additional partners.
