A site manager must be a jack-of-all-trades; able to negotiate with suppliers, motivate workers, co-ordinate with ROTH and MWEDO, while keeping everything on-budget and on-schedule, Aslam keeps the construction site up and running.
He co-ordinates the daily working of the site, managing the contractors and workers, delegating tasks to the volunteers, and reporting back to Frédérique. More than that, Aslam has fast become a friend of the volunteers, and operates as our unofficial guide to events in Arusha. He always has a smile for everyone on site, and is a particular favourite of the mamas who bring the sodas and food! Working with us seven days a week, Aslam’s commitment to this project ensures its success.
