About ROTH

Origins

ROTH was originally founded in 2006 by four friends volunteering for various humanitarian projects in Nakuru, Kenya. Since then, ROTH has grown into a network of more than 100 volunteers. ROTH members bring experience in health services, education, and construction, which are essential to the improvement of infrastructure in low and middle-income countries. The success of our projects lies in our partnerships with local governments, civil society groups and local NGOs. Our local partners play a pivotal role in helping us identify our projects, respect local culture, promote ownership and ensure sustainability. We see ourselves as a resource for local groups; helping them accomplish projects that further their own goals and objectives. Since its foundation, ROTH has successfully partnered with community groups in Kenya, Tanzania and Peru and has overseen a number of successful health and education projects.

Get Involved

ROTH is proud to be comprised entirely of volunteers. With over 100 individuals giving their time and energy to serve on various committees, volunteering on site and for administrative tasks we ensure that the maximum amount of donations go directly to the cause. We operate from a virtual office, allowing us to maintain negligible overhead costs. We welcome anyone who would like to join us in completing one of our projects, either through volunteering their time for administrative duties, assisting with fundraising initiatives, or even to be present onsite for any upcoming projects.
