OriginsROTH was originally founded in 2006 by four friends volunteering for various humanitarian projects in Nakuru, Kenya. Since then, ROTH has grown into a network of more than 100 volunteers. ROTH members bring experience in health services, education, and construction, which are essential to the improvement of infrastructure in low and middle-income countries. The success of our projects lies in our partnerships with local governments, civil society groups and local NGOs. Our local partners play a pivotal role in helping us identify our projects, respect local culture, promote ownership and ensure sustainability. We see ourselves as a resource for local groups; helping them accomplish projects that further their own goals and objectives. Since its foundation, ROTH has successfully partnered with community groups in Kenya, Tanzania and Peru and has overseen a number of successful health and education projects.
